TENNIS ACTIVITIES
Hello tennis lovers! I am Ken Hine, the Director of Tennis at Boca Raton Bath & Tennis Club. We have a terrific tennis facility here -- with eight recently renovated Har-Tru, clay tennis courts, (four of them lighted for night time play), six covered tennis pavilions with water coolers for relaxing and re-hydrating between games, two racquetball courts, which we also use as warm-up facilities for tennis matches, and an excellent Playmate ball machine. We believe our tennis program is one of the best in the area. We offer four women’s day leagues, two women’s night leagues, two men’s night leagues, three junior tennis teams, i.,e. 12 & under, 14 & under, 16/18 & under, junior programs after school,camps, clinics, private lessons and more! Together with my Assistant Head Tennis Pro, Dan Lepadatu, we also regularly develop fun new ways to get both adults and kids involved in our program -- activities like cardio-tennis, co-ed round robins, ladders, challenges, aerobic tennis exercises, kids tournaments, and other activities galore. NEW - Looking for anyone in our community that's looking to be part of our tennis experience! From beginners to experienced players for Leagues/Teams or just social play. Team positions that we are likely to open up range from: Ladies Division 2A, our top team through Division 6 our intermediate and starting out or back to tennis team. During season, there is typically an 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. Team Clinic one day a week and a Home or Travelling match 10:00 a.m. to conclusion once a week. For further details, please contact Ken at (561) 994-1897. Ball Machine - a great workout, please call for availability. Now available on Sundays - key is at Guardhouse with Security - just sign out. Please try to use next to an open court so as to be courteous to other players/residents. Ideas - We have four really busy days per week due to all our League play - that gives us some room to plan any events you may desire, perhaps, Friday Frolics, Inter-Club team match with a different format. J.T.T./ Junior Team Tennis - For children who are at the advanced beginner level and above, who can serve and play matches with some consistency. -- Played on Saturdays 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Singles and doubles. -- 12 years old and under -- 14 years old and under -- 16/18 years old and under play from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Junior After School Programs Pee Wees( 4 to 6 yrs.) - Mondays 4:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. Beginners (6 to 10 yrs.) - Mondays 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Advanced Beginners - Wednesdays 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Advanced Intermediates - Tuesdays 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Thursdays 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Cardio Tennis – Fridays – 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM – a great workout developed especially for tennis players, covering all tennis motions and movements.
